BCB partnered with the local community to cultivate 25 acres of rice. BCB provided the inputs allowing farmers to harvest for two seasons.

Building Community Bridges partnered with Adaklu-Anfoe farmers to cultivate 25 acres of rice in 2018.

Solar Energy Water Pump

(Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)

To provide access to clean water in Koussougba, Togo, BCB partnered with the local community to construct their first solar-powered water pump in 2011. The water pump installation provided the community of 1200 people with access to clean water and saved the village women and girls the time they use to spend in reach of the water.

BCB's WASH, Water Sanitation and Hygiene project. We cleaned 3 main streets in the the village of Koussougba. This program empowered the community to recognize and asume their capacity and responsibility to keep their village clean. BCB edcuated and raised community awareness about how cleaniness of environment decreases the of spread of diseases.

In the same village, BCB executed the Water Sanitation And Hygiene Program (WASH) in collaboration with UNICEF. Alongside the Technology of Participation (ToP®) workshops and grassroots activities, the program functions to provide simple sanitation and hygiene technologies that reduce the spread of waterborne illness.
