Cleaning Koussougba - Togo

BCB partnered with the local community to cultivate 25 acres of rice. BCB provided the inputs allowing farmers to harvests. two season.

Building Community Bridges partner with farmers in Adaklu-Anfoe to comple the first phase of our pilot for our social enterprise. We cultivates 25 acres of rice. We started with new land, which has to be cleared. The project unfolded in 4 phases, including land clearing, land preparation, sowing &weeding and harvest. We sucessfully havest two crop seasons. The project was later turned over to the community.

Solar Energy Water Pump

(Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)

To provide access to clean water in Koussougba, Togo, BCB partnered with the local community to construct their first solar powered water pump in 2011. The installation of the water pump increased safety and saved time for the women in the village by providing a central consistent location for fresh clean water for over 2000 people in Koussougba and the neighboring village.

BCB's WASH, Water Sanitation and Hygiene project. We clean 3 main streets in the the village of Koussougba. This program empowered the community to recognize and asume their capacity and responsibility to keep their village clean. BCB edcuated and raised community awareness about how cleaniness of environment contribes to the decrease of spread diseases.
